    Ginsu 7112 Chikara 12- Piece Stainless Steel Knife Set w/ Block Review

    In March 2009, I purchased the Ginsu 7112 Chikara 12-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Set with Block based on reviews at Amazon and the great review that Consumer Reports had given this inexpensive knife set. I was really skeptical when making this purchase but went ahead and placed the order. Upon the knives arriving and me excitedly opening the box, I tested them out. I was really impressed with the weight and sharpness of the knives straight out of the box. With that said, I was still curious, how long will these knives stay this sharp? Here we are almost nine months into using these knives heavily, and they are still very sharp. I use the honing steel just about every use, and do not put them into the dishwasher. (I do not recommend putting any knives into the dishwasher, regardless of what the instructions say.) So far, I strongly recommend anyone on a budget, or not, to purchase this set of knives. You will not be disappointed.
