As I have stated in prior posts, I have started to listen to the podcast called Nutrition Divas Quick and Dirty Tips. As I was listening to episode 7, I think, Monica had mentioned that if you don’t count calories everyday you should do it every now and than to get back on track. As you know, that is how I started this journey to a healthy lifestyle. It all began with the Lose It! app for the iPhone. I have since purchased a better app, in my opinion, called Nutrition Menu. I really didn’t use it for calorie tracking but mostly for looking up calories for restaurants when I needed to get a quick bite to eat. So when Monica had said this, I thought to myself, “I don’t think thats necessary for me, I eat pretty good stuff.” Well, since my weight had pretty much hit a plateau, I decided to track a days worth of food without altering my normal routine. Sure enough, I had been overeating. It wasn’t junk food, per se, but I was still going over my caloric budget. After discovering this and getting myself back on track, I lost three more pounds in a single week! I have now lost a total of 30 pounds since February! So I would like to thank Monica once again for the great tip as it veered my back on track!
I highly recommend the podcast and the app!!! I hope it leads everyone toward a healthier life!
